The Final Frontier

Tonight's top story comes as a result of a NASA Director's recent comments regarding a program designed to create a space ship capable of taking humans to another planet, to begin colonization. The program revolves around the "100-Year Starship", which would fly the astronauts to another planet. One of the more interesting, and controversial aspects of the plan is the fact that the humans would likely never return to Earth, due to the time and resources it would take to simply get to the planet, even as "close" as Mars. What do you think? Would you volunteer to be one of the first to colonize a new planet, especially if it meant you would never see the loved ones you leave behind on Earth?

Censorship, or National Security?

In tonight's news, A Congressman from New York is trying to get video-sharing site YouTube to remove videos posted by the Islam cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. Rep Anthony Weiner has asked YouTube to remove the videos that he says "poses a clear and present danger to American citizens". Do you support this censorship in the name of national security?

Political Minute: Would you vote for "Rich Whitey"?

News today out of Illinois, where the question of "Will you vote for Rich Whitey?" will be raised for voters in a few days. It seems a typo on electronic voting machines will result in Green Party candidate Rich Whitney being listed as Rich "Whitey". With many of the problematic machines in predominantly African-American districts, will this prove a major blow to his chances?
